WORK DESCRIPTION
Maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant on site, including electrical and mechanical support.
Anticipate possible machine reliability problems that may appear and take appropriate actions to ensure the continuity of the manufacturing process.
To facilitate and lead the problem solving processes, provide inputs / suggestions to the Maintenance and Continuous Improvement Manager.
To record and analyze trends in machine failures using a maintenance system.
In order to motivate the improvement or purchase of equipment.
To support ad hoc projects, eg. Eg Renew and recondition machines / Installations and commissioning in order to optimize the process flow.
Ensure compliance with relevant food safety, health and safety and GMP requirements by maintaining process and document controls in accordance with SOPs.
Provide on-the-job training for handymen and apprentices as needed, in keeping with the Premiers leadership promise.
Supervise, train and train Technical Operators on SOPS and work instructions to ensure best operating practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Matric OR N3 / N4 score in the relevant field
Commercial Test Certificate (Red Stamp)
Required to work a 5 day week
Required to work overtime and unusual work hours (after hours, weekends, and holidays)
Required to work on hold on a rotating schedule
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5-7 years of experience in accessories trade.
5 years of experience in a consumer goods environment
Experience with continuous high-speed operations
System maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
KEY OUTPUTS
Expert knowledge in the field of adaptation Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, e.g. OSH / GMP / Food Safety Act
Pneumatics knowledge
