DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a design and plan the sequence of work to be carried out.
Place the plate, sheet steel or other heavy metal and locate and mark the bend and cut lines
Shaping metal with metalworking machines, such as shears and drills
Cut the metal plate and brackets with an oxy-fuel torch, and chop and grind the pieces to shape to fit
Assemble and join the spot welding parts using electric arc welding equipment
Correctly instruct and transfer skills to any assigned apprentices and semi-skilled workers to ensure safety and quality of work.
Exercise the skills and knowledge of the commercial qualification of boilermakers.
Cleaning duties
Ensure and comply with the guidelines, policies and procedures of the security standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum grade 12 / N3
Formal business rating at Boilermaker
3-5 years of relevant experience in the manufacture of boilermakers
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to work with tight tolerances
Knowledge of OSHACT
Ready to work extended hours and shifts
